Katie is the Communications Manager for the Maryland Just Power Alliance. She’s passionate about supporting the Alliance’s work in building relational power to create policy change for justice. She makes connections with community leaders and implements an organized and inclusive communications strategy to grow our collective power.
Prior to joining the Alliance, Katie was a leader at our sister organization VOICE (Virginians Organized for Interfaith Community Engagement) in Arlington, where she organized members of her church and community to support the successful Missing Middle Housing campaign to end exclusionary single-family zoning.
Katie also has experience in communications and change management from her previous role as a Business Analyst at CGI Federal. She has a B.A. in Sociology from William & Mary and holds certifications in project management and change management. Katie lives in Arlington, Virginia and enjoys singing in her church choir.
