2026 Elections
The Maryland Just Power Alliance (ACT, AIM, and PATH) is organizing major voter education campaigns in Howard, Montgomery, and Anne Arundel Counties for the June 23 primary elections.
Nearly every seat for County Executive and County Council is up for election this year, in addition to Governor, members of Congress, and many state delegates and senators. The primary elections are likely to determine the outcome of many local races.
PATH organized a 500-person candidate forum in March, AIM hosted one with 450 people in April plus 150 more in district-specific forums, and ACT held a forum with 300 people in May.
Each candidate forum was nonpartisan and all candidates for County Executive and Council were invited.
We asked candidates how they would address our priorities that we identified through listening sessions with over 3,000 people, including support for immigrants, affordable housing, healthy homes, good jobs, and more. The vast majority of candidates attended and agreed to work with us if they are elected.
The forums demonstrated our power to make tangible impacts in our communities.
