About Us
The Maryland Just Power Alliance is a multi-racial, multi-faith, nonpartisan people power organization representing tens of thousands of Maryland residents.
We organize people in congregations, schools, and neighborhoods to hold elected leaders accountable and make people’s lives better in our communities.
Through our member affiliates ACT in Anne Arundel County, AIM in Montgomery County, and PATH in Howard County, we have helped win over $1.5 billion for affordable housing, free after-school programs in 18 low-income elementary schools, passed the Maryland DREAM Act, created hundreds of green jobs for young adults, and much more.
We have worked together at the state level since 2024 as the Maryland Just Power Alliance and have helped win $73 million for clean, affordable home energy and pass important immigrants’ rights and affordable housing legislation.
We are excited to be officially incorporating our statewide organization in 2026 to make an even stronger impact at the state level while continuing our deep local community organizing.
